Macomb County issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.

Team Stahls will play the Detroit Red Wings Alumni team at 12:20 p.m. Nov. 9 at St. Clair Shores Civic Arena, 20000 Stephens Road, during the Power Play for Heroes hockey game. Power Play for Heroes honors veterans and those currently serving in the military while also raising money for Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, a nonprofit organization that trains and donates medical service dogs to veterans and first responders living with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and other medical conditions. Although Stahls can’t specify all the Red Wings alumni who will be participating in the event, Darren McCarty is one confirmed player. Tickets for the hockey game, which is open to the public, cost $10 at the door, and there will also be a variety of raffles and gift baskets that will help raise money for Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs.
