The Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce is trying to get the word out that businesses are still open and are still providing services through a new campaign.

The chamber launched a countywide Macomb Is Open campaign on April 23 and is encouraging small businesses to participate.  All the business has to do is fill out an online form with the shop's name, address, website, phone number, any specials they're offering and the services the business is still providing.

"We want to make sure that businesses throughout Macomb County are here for years to come and we hope that we can all support each other during this new and unchartered time," Stacy Ziarko, president of the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber, said in a release, as reported by Macomb Daily.

The information businesses provide will be made public so people still looking to support small business in Macomb County know what to expect.

So far, the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce has nine pages of businesses still operating during executive orders put in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus.  The businesses include restaurants, wineries, banks, auto repair shops, shipping services, online tutoring, tax services, home improvement and repairs, and much more. The list provides consumers with everything they'd need to know about the business, and even allows them to search by name or service provided. The complete list can be found on the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce's website.

Local chambers have teamed up to support this cause, including the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce, Macomb County, Anchor Bay Chamber of Commerce, and Romeo/Washington Chamber of Commerce.
