City of Algonac Government & Community Service issued the following announcement on Aug. 18.
Mayor Terry Stoneburner and the Algonac City Council congratulated three Algonac Little League Softball Teams who all finished 2nd place at the Little League Michigan District 7 Championship this year. The teams were 12U -Algonac/Marine City All Stars, 10U Algonac All Stars and 8U Algonac/Marine City All Stars. The girls are all residents of Algonac, Clay Township and Marine City. The 10U team was the only team in their bracket to score runs against the St. Clair team at districts!!
Thank you to 12U Coach Jason Reams, 10U Coach Carl Reams and 8U Coach Eric Jarvi, as well as their assistant coaches, for their leadership and to all the girls for their hard work and dedication!
