Women's Cross Country team ranked 11th in National Poll

The NJCAA came out with their initial Cross Country USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll yesterday. The Skipper Women come in at number 11 in Division II, having just missed the top 10.

Pacing the Skippers so far this year has been Elizabeth Sliman as she turned in a personal record time of 21:10 at the GRCC Raider Invite. This was a 30 second improvement from her third-place finish at the Skippers Invitational. Gina Collins turned in a season's best time of 21:34 at the GRCC Raider Invite, beating her time at the Skipper Invite by 18 seconds. Skipper teammates Olivia Crawford, Kayla McIntyre, and Audrey Hartman each turned in personal bests of 22:15, 22:44, and 22:46 respectively. For McIntyre, she shaved off 1 minute and 15 seconds from her race at the Skippers Invite and Hartman finished 1 minute and 30 seconds faster than her time at the Skippers Invite.

This is the first time that the Skippers have been ranked nationally under Head Coach Andrea Rheaume. Congratulations to both the athletes and the coaching staff!
