The NJCAA came out with their initial Cross Country USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll yesterday. The Skipper Men cracked the top 10, coming in at number 8 in Division II.
Helping the men crack the top 10 are the duo of Travis Katz and Ethan McCombs.
Katz is coming off a personal best time of 27:13 at the GRCC Raider Invite, beating his second-place performance from the Skippers Invitational by over 20 seconds. McCombs nearly shaved a minute off his time from the Skippers Invitational as he crossed the line with a personal best time of 27:20. Skipper teammates Dominic Comfort, Mason Wildie, and Ben Rodriguez each ran personal best times of 28:29, 29:36, and 29:50 respectively.
This is the first time that the Skipper's have been ranked nationally under Head Coach Andrea Rheaume. Congratulations to both the athletes and the coaching staff, a well-deserved honor!
