St. Clair Today

The SC4 Golf team has had a great start to their season. So far on the year they've competed in 5 matches, finishing in the top 3 an impressive 4 times.

Their best performance as a team came at the Mott Community College Invitational. Of the 8 teams competing the Skippers just barely missed out on a 4th place finish as they were 2 strokes behind Glen Oaks Community College. The Skippers finished with a total of 333 for the tournament and 45 over par which is currently their best score this year.

At the same tournament sophomore Syndey Anger became the second female ever to score in a MCCAA Conference Tournament. 

The Skippers have a balanced team as they've had 3 different individuals lead them as the top scorer. Logan Palmateer and Tyler Simpson have both been the team's top performers on two different occasions. Palmateer had the top Skipper score at the Delta College Invitational and the Kirtland Community College Invitational, with scores of 77 and 80 respectively. Simpson has shown consistency all year long as he's been a top 3 scorer on the team at every match. Simpson shot a 78 on two occasions which lead the Skippers at the Mott Community College Invitational and the Sam Kromer Invitational. Colin O'Deen had his best performance of the year at the Henry Ford Invitational where his score of 84 led the Skippers.

The Skippers be back in action Monday, October 10th, when they travel to Taylor, Michigan to compete in the Thomas Howard Memorial. The match be the last conference tournament of the the 2022 season.
