Census Bureau: 78.9% of people in Macomb County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 879,123 citizens living in Macomb County in 2021, 78.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 693,313 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 335,292 were male, constituting 48.4%, and 358,021 were female, making up 51.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Macomb County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 78.2%.
