Lighted Santa Parade and Tree Lighting-Friday, November 19 @6pm

Plasticchristmastree

City of St. Clair recently issued the following announcement.

Preparation has begun for our Annual St. Clair Santa’s Lighted Parade and Tree Lighting. This is a Community event and we hope folks are already anticipating this year’s parade and tree lighting. Our Santa’s Lighted Parade will begin at 6:00 pm on Friday, November 19, 2021 (this is the Friday before Thanksgiving). Santa will receive the key to the city and the City Christmas tree will be lighted immediately following the parade. An award will be given to the “Best Lighted” entry at the stage in Palmer Park.

Refreshments will be provided in the Park Plaza by the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce and visitors can see the reindeer in the Candy Cane Corral sponsored by Cargill Salt. We invite businesses, civic groups, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, churches, school bands and leaders in the community to participate. We are encouraging lighted entries such as classic cars, floats, costumed participants, clowns, school and athletic groups, musicians and choral groups. Each unit is required to provide a banner or sign for their entry. Businesses can advertise with banners and signs. Any donation that you would like to give towards the parade expenditures would greatly be appreciated. We ask that there be no live Santa’s with your unit. Community involvement is one of St. Clair best attributes. Help celebrate the magic by being a participant and/or sponsor. Please complete the attached form and return it by Friday, November 12, 2021.

Entry forms are also available at City Hall and on the city website at www.cityofstclair.com. Questions can be directed to Sue Daniels at 810-329- 4498. We would like to extend a special thank-you to all of our 2020 sponsors. Your donations were used to refurbish the Palmer Park Christmas Tree with new wiring, multi-colored lights and ornaments.
