On Thursday, Deputy Joel Landon was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Landon's law enforcement career began in 2009 as a Police Officer with the Dallas Police Department. In 2013, he made the move back to Michigan and was hired by St Clair County Sheriff's Office.
Sgt. Landon has been a valued member of the Sheriff's Office since that time and served in many capacities to include the following: Special Response Team (SRT), instructor of taser, pistol, rifle and shotgun.
He also serves special positions within SRT and instructs in active shooter and assailant training, stop the bleed, and is a coordinator for the Rescue Task Force.
